Introduction
Goom Express promises a delivery and then has to keep it. Customers wanted to see the parcel moving. The team was still coordinating a lot of that by phone.
The Challenge
Building a delivery platform means solving problems for three different audiences simultaneously: customers who want tracking and reliability, businesses that want scheduling and management, and drivers who need navigation and communication tools. Add India's traffic patterns, address complexity, and variable network coverage, and you've got a genuinely hard product challenge.
The platform needed to handle AI-assisted order batching, real-time GPS tracking, secure payments, and multi-party communication, all through an interface simple enough for a driver to use while navigating Bangalore traffic.
Our Solution
We designed and developed the complete Goom Express mobile application: AI-assisted order batching grouping deliveries intelligently; real-time order tracking with GPS-powered visibility from pickup to doorstep; driver management tools with assignment, tracking, and communication features; scheduled deliveries with customers booking delivery windows; secure payment integration with cash-on-delivery, digital wallets, and card payments; and address management handling India's address complexity with landmarks, apartment numbers, and area names.
